
American actor Thomas William Selleck. His most memorable role was as private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. He was nominated for five Emmy Awards as Outstanding Lead Actor In the Drama Series (1980-1988), and was awarded the Emmy Award in 1985. In the TV series Blue Bloods, Selleck has been a part of the character Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. Since 2005, he has played the role of Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief in a small town New York City. In addition, he has been in nine TV movies which are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck has also played the role as Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect, in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and Three Men and a Little Lady (90). Since Magnum, P.I., he has appeared in over fifty roles on television as well as in film, such as the movies Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball.
