Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born on the 14th of March 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. Biles is believed to be among the top gymnasts. The 2016 Olympics were held at Rio de Janeiro and Biles was one of the U.S.'s the first gymnast of female gender ever to win 4 gold medals. She also claimed the world championship for all-around three times consecutively (2013-15). Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) adopted them. The Biles family grew up in Houston's metropolitan area. Simone's interest in gymnastics began at age six when she took a trip with her group of daycare children to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained with Aimee Borman's coaching until 2011. Biles took home a medal for vaulting, and a bronze medal in floor gymnastics at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. In 2011, she began participating in the elite level of gymnastics competition. She dominated her sport less than two year later. What stood Biles out was her consistency her fun-loving personality, and the high degree of effort she put into her routines in all four events--vault uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.
